Süleyman İlgeri (b.1948), the founder of Asil, has been very active in textile companies since 1973. For more than 40 years, he took part in leading positions and sometimes as a shareholder in many of the leading export companies.

By 1984, Süleyman Ilgeri and his brother Ali İlgeri (b.1959) set up a small embroidery workshop that could be considered as the prototype of ASIL of today. Almost immediately, major export companies from Denizli, started using the two brothers’ workshop as an outsource supplier. Aspiring entrepreneurs, finally decided to renew the machinery and turn the small enterprise in to a Corporation and Ilgeri brothers established ASIL SANAYI ve TICARET A.S. in 1992. They kept on doing what they knew the best and supplied high-quality embroidered apparels to Denizli’s leading exporters. After long deliberations and careful planning, they started their own export operations in 1997 and by 2015, ASİL has been selling 80% of its towel capacity to international markets.
